Shirley F. Cronley


Hotelier and Community Activist

Shirley Cronley, hotelier, community activist, and vice chair of the Escambia County Tourism Development Council, attended the University of Florida and graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Cronley served as the executive director of the Pensacola Sports Association until 2003 and since then has dedicated her time and talents to several boards including Autism of Pensacola, Pace Center for Girls, and West Florida Hospital Women’s Advisory Board. She is also an Escambia County Board of Commission appointee of the Tourism Development Council, serving as vice-chairman.

Prior to her work with the Pensacola Sports Association, Cronley had an extensive career in the hospitality industry. Currently, Cronley and her husband, Jim, along with other partners, own several local hotels including The Hampton Inn at the Airport, Homewood Suites, Airport Garden Inn, Marriott Courtyard, and Residence Inn, with a sixth property in development.
