Steven Donchey, M.D. is a practicing physician in Okaloosa and Walton Counties. He currently serves as Hospitalist for North Okaloosa Medical Center, Crestview, FL. Dr. Donchey has also practiced sports medicine at Bluewater Orthopedics in Niceville, FL, for over two decades, and on a part time basis, he serves as Hospitalist for Sacred Heart on the Emerald Coast.
His certifications include Diplomate American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as board certification in Sports Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Care.
Dr. Donchey has been the Medical Director of Emerald Coast Nursing Home Fort Walton Beach, FL for 18 years, the Director of Emerald Coast Hospice Care for Okaloosa and Walton counties for 8 years. He also serves as the Rehab Director for Grand Boulevard and Silver Crest Skilled Nursing facilities.
Fellowships include: Sports Medicine Fellowship, Seton Hall University, School of Graduate Medical Education, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Paterson, N.J. Dr. Donchey served his residency at Seton Hall University and attended medical school at Ross University of Medicine, Dominica, West Indies. He attended college at Palm Beach Atlantic College, West Palm Beach, FL, and Orange County Community College in Middletown, N.Y. He is originally from New York City.
Dr. Donchey was elected as a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and is a member of the American Medical Association, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
He has served as team physician for several northwest Florida College and high school sports team. Dr. Donchey also served a medical mission through Mission to the World in Patchakan, Belize in Central America.
